“Just a Good Guy…With a Few Bad Habits”

We Need Some Heroes of Our Past

Iranian boat: “I am coming to you”

Iranian boat: “You will explode in a couple of minutes”

The above words were transmitted to three U.S. Warships by terrorists circling them in speedboats. The saddest part of the report is the account of the ships commanders “ramping up defensive operations” as the transmissions were received.

Ramping up defensive operations? Some dirt bags in Ski Nautiques challenge the United States Navy and all it’s commanders do is “ramp up defensive operations?”

How about blowing the hairy bastards out of the water and daring their terrorism sponsoring government to do something about it. The United States of America needs to find it’s wartime balls.

Have the actions of anti-American politicians had such an effect on our military leaders that they would hesitate to take the offensive when confronted in such a manner?

Do you honestly believe that military heroes from our past were handcuffed in the same manner?

Admiral Bull Halsey was at sea aboard the USS Enterprise during the Japanese sneak attack at Pearl Harbor. Did Admiral Halsey “ramp up defensive operations?” No. He was overheard making this comment: “After this war, the only place the Japanese language will be spoken is in hell.” Halsey is said to have mounted a plaque above the bulkhead of his flag quarters that read: “Kill Japs, Kill Japs, Kill More Japs!”

Admiral Chester Nimitz didn’t win the “Battle of the Philippine Sea” and the “Battle for Leyte Gulf” by “ramping up defensive operations. He did it by kicking ass.

When the USMC’s Lewis “Chesty” Puller landed at Guadalcanal did he tell his troops to dig in? No. When he was told that the Japanese were in the hills beyond his perimeter, he responded emphatically: “All right. Let’s go get ’em.”

Do you think “ramping up defensive operations” ever crossed Gen. George Patton’s mind. I think I can answer for the good General by screaming “HELL NO!”

We are at war with an enemy that refuses to identify itself with any one nation, but is supported by many nations who wish to see the United States of America, and by extension, Democracy defeated. The enemy must be confronted and destroyed wherever and whenever found. This can only be done by constantly attacking. It will never be accomplished by “ramping up defensive operations.”

American commanders, on land or at sea, need to be free to act and act with extreme prejudice when confronted with violent, or even stupid, adversaries. They don’t need to be looking over their shoulders worrying about how a group of pimple assed politicians is going to perceive their actions after the fact.

  1. Admiral Bull Halsey who said my absolute favorite thing ever “There are no great men, only ordinary men to overcome extraordinary challenges!”

That guy did not have a tea bag he has a potato sack and had to cart those things around in a wheel-barrow.
