Top 5 Quotes From Ronaldus Magnus

When Ronald Reagan began serving his first term as President of the United States, I was about to turn 18 and soon to graduate from high school.

I am old enough to clearly remember every President since Nixon. Having watched the evening news and having read the newspaper accounts of  Watergate and Nixon’s resignation, Ford’s interim Presidency that was sadly ended with the disastrous political abortion that was the Carter Presidency, and Carter’s groveling and sniveling in the face of growing threats to our national security. A practice he continues to this day I might add.

By the time of Reagan’s election many of us were looking for a man who would speak the truth. Truth that is instinctive to those of us born in “fly over” country, and a curse to many who grew up in certain coastal areas. Reagan was, and is, an inspiration to all who still believe in the greatness of America and her people.

Here are my personal Top 5 Quotes from Ronald Reagan:

“Here’s my strategy on the Cold War: We win, they lose.”

“The nearest thing to eternal life we will ever see on this earth is a government program.”

“Of the four wars in my lifetime, none came about because the U.S. was too strong.”

“I have wondered at times about what the Ten Commandments would have looked like if Moses had run them through the U.S. Congress.”

“No arsenal, or no weapon in the arsenals of the world, is as formidable as the will and moral courage of free men and women.”

And as a bonus:

“If we ever forget that we’re one nation under God, then we will be a nation gone under.”

A Presidential candidate today that would speak in this manner, with the same amount of conviction, would soon be running unopposed.

  1. Jimmie Carter was the absolute worse President in our history…what a pussy !!! And you’re right Scolai, Carter still is. President Reagan and President Bush have one thing in common…BALLS… the last Dem’s recently in office with any balls or character was Kennedy, and of course President Truman…Carter was (and still is) the main reason terrorism increased in great portions. “Klintoon” , Kerry and the drunken murderer Teddy Kennedy along with all of the Democrat’s now in leadership positions with the Congress.

The Republican candidate for president should seriously consider asking Joe Lieberman become his running mate. Liberman is a strong patriot, conservative, and would bring the Jewish and a large percentage of democrat votes to the Republicans.
