I must confess that, until two weeks ago, I had never heard of Serge Gainsbourg. However, after taking the time to research his life and career, I can now say in all sincerity that while I could never be psychologically French (I always come down on the “Fight” side of the “Fight or Flight” equation), I would love to one day be expressively French.

Okay, I don’t know what the two people were on about in the two first comments, but I am sneezing right now and from experience I am allergic to stupidity.
Scolai, much appreciate your blog as far as I have seen it. I have looked at the following post and you are featuring some of my all time favourites: Deneuve (she is one of the most attractive/stunning/gorgious actresses that has ever been on the screen), Jane Birkin (she redefined sexy in the 60s), Bardot (she reinvented sexy) and Serge Gainsbourg- wow. I love SG. He is an inspiring artist. He is often very wrong but so right. A one of a kind. I actually appreciate his daughters music as well, Charlotte Gainsbourg does some solid good entertainment. Have you heard of ‘The Songs That We Sing’?
