Cheney a Disaster?

with one comment

Jimmy Carter, quite possibly, if not demonstrably, the worst President in American history, yesterday labeled Dick Cheney a “disaster.”

Carter also stated that in his inestimable opinion “the U.S. tortures prisoners in violation of international law.”

And what does the mentally clogged former President consider torture?

1.) Head Slaps. I’m sure the late Curly Howard would be interested in that one. All that time spent watching the Three Stooges as a child, and I never realized, until Jimmy told me, what an evil bastard Moe really was! Also, as a child born in the sixties, do you think I could go back and accuse my parents of violating my human rights? Yeah, I would have loved to have run that one by the old man!

2.) Frigid Temperatures. Jimmy, Jimmy, Jimmy. You poor sheltered squid. Some of us endure frigid temperatures just for the hell of it:

3.) Simulated Drowning. “Simulated” that is what separates us from terrorists, who practice “actual” drowning of prisoners you sanctimonious taint elf. “Simulated Drowning” was a favorite prank in some NHL locker rooms during the seventies. I hardly think such a prank rises to the level of torture.

As to Cheney being a disaster, this can’t even be construed as the “pot calling the kettle black.” To do so would imply that Cheney had somehow helped to lower the bar of Presidential esteem to a level even Bill Maher could successfully high jump.

Any free thinking, non-liberal citizen alive in the late seventies remembers vividly the unmitigated “DISASTER” that was the Carter Presidency, however, for the revisionists out there, here are some of Jimmy’s Greatest Hits:

Responsible for the fall of the Shah of Iran. That one really helped stabilize the middle east now didn’t it. Ya gotta love the people now running things in Iran, at least at Columbia University.

Gas Lines

18% Mortgage Interest Rates

52 Americans held hostage in Iran for 444 days

Double Digit Inflation

This list could go on for pages. The damage done to this country by Carter as President and, nearly as bad, Carter as ex-President, is a living definition of “disaster.”
