Winning the War in Iraq

I was listening to the radio today when a talk show host asked, rhetorically, “What will it take to win in Iraq?” The more important, unasked question is “What will it take to get politicians, mostly those on the left, to quit pushing their agenda and start letting our troops do what is necessary to win?” Iraq is winable right now, with the troops that are already there. All it would take is a policy of win at all costs. No more trying to show ourselves as “better” than those who would destroy us, no more handcuffing the ground troops with ridiculous rules of engagement, and certainly, no more fighting with one hand behind our backs. Ground troops should never fear being called into court for actions that take place in a combat zone. The men who put their lives on the line in combat deserve the benefit of every possible doubt, and a government that realizes that “War means Fighting and Fighting means Killing.”
